Your backend already wins.Your storefront is holding you back.

Shopify and your buylist stack already run your inventory, TCGplayer sync, and pricing beautifully.

We don't touch any of it. We rip out the clunky template on top, hand-code an elite storefront on your live data, and drop an AI Collectible Curator over it.

The high-volume retail trap
A stock template quietly bleeds sales at scale.

You didn't build a regional operation on a theme meant for a boutique candle shop. But that's what most card stores are running — and it shows the moment traffic spikes.

The momentOn a stock templateWhat it costs youHow Holkin closes it
01

A new set drops

Hundreds hit your singles database at once, filtering the same 30,000+ SKUs.

The template chokes on the load, and buyers with cash in hand bounce to whoever loaded first.
Your busiest hour becomes your worst.
The fixHand-coded search that stays instant at peak — set-drop or not.
02

You list a grail

A PSA 10, a rare variant cover, and a common bulk single all go live together.

All three render in the exact same tile — no slab framing, no cover-art treatment.
Your best inventory gets marketed like your worst.
The fixSlab framing & cover-art display that sells your best as your best.
03

A buyer visits at 2 AM

Tournament-legal? Trade-in policy? Grading intake?

Nobody answers, so they close the tab — a sale that never even shows in a report.
The quiet losses you never even see.
The fixThe Collectible Curator answers legality, trade-ins & grading — 24/7.
04

You run a live break

Buyers want to claim spots and pay in the moment, all at once.

A stock theme has no live-sale flow, so it happens in DMs and third-party apps.
Your best nights build someone else's platform.
The fixOn-site breaks & live sales — claims, queue and checkout stay yours.
05

A collection comes in to sell

Someone wants to move a binder or bulk lot and asks what you'll pay.

No self-serve quote — they email photos or wait on you, and most drift away.
Sellers who feel lowballed don't come back.
The fixA fair, consistent buylist — the same live number for every seller.

None of this is a backend problem. It's a front-end problem — and a front-end problem has a clean fix.

The Holkin solutions architecture
Three pillars. One principle: your backend stays, your storefront levels up.
Pillar 01

Hand-Coded Web Architecture

Elite performance. Zero platform fees.
  • Search that survives launch day — fast filtering across tens of thousands of singles & sealed product, even under a citywide rush.
  • Layouts for the good stuff — dedicated treatments for graded slabs, variants, cover art and marquee grails.
  • Accessible by construction — WCAG 2.1 AA & AODA in the markup, not bolted on.
  • You own it. Pay once. No monthly template subscription, ever.
Pillar 02

Deep Ecosystem Synergy

Your Shopify + buylist stack, cleanly extended.
  • Reads real-time inventory & buylist straight from your live data — BinderPOS, Storepass, TCGSync, whatever you run.
  • Respects the plumbing — architected around API rate limits so a traffic surge won't trigger live desyncs between counter and site.
  • Nothing changes at the register. Your staff keep the exact point-of-sale workflow they know.
Pillar 03

The Collectible Curator

An AI layer over your live store — never guessing.
  • On-demand Judge — live rule calls mid-tournament for Magic, Pokémon, One Piece, Lorcana & more.
  • Live stock & buylist, from your numbers — it reports your real quantity and your real buylist price. It never invents a value.
  • Tournament seat booking and guided grading intake, factors only — never fabricated prices.
Meet the Collectible Curator

Built on Holkin's proven Iris architecture, grounded in your live data — stock, buylist, rulings, grading. It answers what a template can't, 24/7, and talks value in factors, never fabricated numbers.

Snap-to-Sell

Skip the guesswork.Show the Curator the card.

A casual collector's wandering the shop while a line waits at the counter. They pull up your site, snap the card in their hand, and the Curator names it — set, number, your live buylist. They walk up already knowing what they've got.

  • 1
Snap it. A photo right in the chat —
    no digging the 30,000-SKU catalog.
  • 2
Curator names it. Set, number, printing — then your real buylist price.
  • 3
Walk up ready. "I've got a buylist," or a cart already active at the counter.

Identification only — and fair by default. The Curator names the card and quotes the same live buylist for every seller; condition stays their call, the price is read from your store, and it never invents a value.

The collector & player experience
Four steps.
Phone in hand.
No friction.
1

Discovery

A player thumbs through thousands of singles, sports lines and comic runs on mobile — filtering by set, variant and condition without a single hang.

2

Live interrogation

"In stock? Legal Saturday?" They ask the Collectible Curator and get an answer off your live inventory — instantly, at any hour.

3

Automation

They register for the weekend tournament on the spot — player ID locked to that date, no hand-loaded ticket. For bigger events that need a decklist, it's submitted and format-checked against your live catalog — which can even flag the cards they're missing that you've got in stock.

4

Transaction

They prep a buylist or a grading submission digitally — sorted, priced against your live numbers, ready to hand across the counter.

The customer does the legwork on their schedule — and arrives ready to transact, not ready to ask their first question.

Proof, not promises

Built in Ontario. Grounded in real business.

Handing your storefront to someone new is a real call. Here's why it's a safe one — it already works, it's honest by design, it's built to make you money, and there's a real person behind it.

The research phase
Give us your coordinates. We'll do the homework first.

Not a generic "contact us." Hand us where your store lives online and we research it before the first call — so you walk in with tailored recommendations already on the table.

The important one — it's how we audit your layout, trace mobile speed and build your integration brief before we even meet.

The Candid FAQ
Do I have to change my Shopify or point-of-sale setup?
No. That's the entire point. Your backend is the part that already works — inventory, TCGplayer sync and buylist all stay where they are, whether you run BinderPOS, Storepass, TCGSync or Crystal Commerce. We replace only the customer-facing front-end and read from your live APIs. Your staff's register workflow doesn't change by a single click. Nothing migrates. Nothing breaks.
What if my buylist software changes — or BinderPOS gets shut down?
Your storefront won't flinch. We build on Shopify — where your catalog, inventory and orders actually live — and every major buylist system (BinderPOS, Storepass, TCGSync) syncs into Shopify. So if you switch vendors, or a provider freezes onboarding or folds, your site keeps running and we keep reading the same Shopify data. The front-end you own doesn't depend on any single vendor staying in business. That's the whole point of owning it.
How do you guarantee the Collectible Curator never misquotes a price or a ruling?
Because it's grounded, not guessing. The Curator only speaks from your live data and a vetted rules knowledge base — it physically can't pull a price out of thin air. Values swing too fast to state as fact, so it never states one: grading and trade-in are talked through as factors (tier, turnaround, declared value), and it quotes your live buylist number, not an invented estimate. When it doesn't know, it says so and routes to a human. Every build ships red-teamed against exactly this failure mode.
What happens once the new storefront goes live?
You own it — the whole hand-coded thing, outright. No monthly template rent, ever. Launch includes a clear hand-off, documentation and post-launch support, so you're never staring at code you can't touch. And because we're an Ontario studio, when you need us, you're talking to the people who built it — in your time zone.
Why go custom and own it, instead of a cheaper template?
Because a rented template has a ceiling — and a meter. It'll get you online, but it can't be tuned for 30,000-SKU search, slab-framed grails, live breaks or a grounded AI concierge — and you pay a subscription for that ceiling every month, forever. A hand-coded build has no monthly rent and no template limits: it's engineered around your catalog and events, and you own the code outright. Over three years, "cheaper up front" is usually the pricier path — and it still leaves you looking like every other shop.
Do I have to take the Collectible Curator? Can I just get the storefront?
It's modular — take what you need. The hand-coded storefront stands entirely on its own: elite search, proper display for graded slabs and grails, booking and intake — all yours without the AI layer. The Curator is an add-on you can switch on now, later, or never. Plenty of shops start with the rebuild to fix the front-end, then add the Curator once they've seen it live.
Can I keep my current site and just add the Collectible Curator?
Often, yes — and we'll be honest about it. If your storefront can expose your live stock, buylist and rules, the Curator can layer over what you already run. The catch: it's only as sharp as the front-end around it, so on a cramped stock theme it's a patch on a weak spot rather than a step-change. We'll tell you straight whether just the Curator gets you most of the way — or whether the storefront is the thing actually costing you sales.
